Gilsonite

Is a soluble and solid hydrocarbon material, with high melting temperature.

Used in wide variety of more than 160 chemical products like in oil well drilling muds and cements, asphalt modifiers, Tires, paints, printing inks, cements, foundry sand additives, etc. A common application of gilsonite is in bitumen blending.
